Learn T&M and LEM workflows
Short guides for the questions crews and offices actually ask: how to track T&M, what belongs on the ticket, and how approvals work. Definitions live in the glossary. Category pages cover the software search.
How do contractors track time and materials?
Most contractors still track T&M with a mix of paper pads, phone photos, Excel, and whatever portal the GC requires. The ones who get paid cleanly treat tracking as a ticket loop: capture, rate sheet, signature, bill - not as a timesheet export.
What should be included on a T&M ticket?
A complete T&M ticket answers who, what, where, when, at which rates, and who signed. Missing any of those turns billing into archaeology. Use this as a field checklist.
How do you get T&M work approved?
T&M work gets approved when the evidence is fresh and the signer is still available. Write the ticket the day of the work, put rates on it, and get a signature before the crew leaves. Everything after that is recovery.
Learn FAQ
How is Learn different from the glossary?
The glossary defines words (LEM, T&M ticket, rate sheet). Learn answers how-to questions: how to track T&M, what to put on a ticket, how approvals work.
Where do I go for software category pages?
T&M ticket software, LEM software, digital LEM tickets, field ticket software, and T&M tracking for subcontractors are separate commercial pages linked from each guide.
