How to read this index

Rates is a public benchmark of fully loaded T&M charge-out, not a wage survey. Low, median, and high are the range a contractor might put on a ticket after burden, overhead, and margin. Canadian provinces are CAD. US states are USD. Hydrovac was aligned to 2026 combo-truck quote bands. New US states are scaled from Texas using 2026 state cost indices, with a tighter equipment spread than labor. Confirm against the job before you bill.

Your billable number lives on a SubTrack rate sheet, assigned to the project, so every LEM reads the same labor and iron.

Rates FAQ

What are these construction charge-out rates?

Fully loaded T&M ranges for labor and equipment across Canada and the US. Low, median, and high already reflect a public view of burden, overhead, and margin. They are not wages and not a quote.

Can I put a median from this index on an invoice?

No. This is a public benchmark. SubTrack rate sheets lock your crew numbers to the project so every LEM bills the rate the client signed.

Are the prices in CAD or USD?

Canadian regions are CAD. US states are USD. The as-of date is on each row. Confirm against the job before you bill.

Is this a union package or open shop?

A blended public range, not a union package and not a PLA. Store the number the job signed on a SubTrack rate sheet.

Rate sheets

The index is a benchmark. Rate sheets are how you bill.

Rates shows public charge-out ranges. SubTrack rate sheets lock your crew numbers into a template the field actually bills from, on every LEM.

One template, every job

Labor, equipment, materials, and subs live in one sheet. Assign it to a project and tickets read the same numbers.

OT and markup apply themselves

Standby, overtime, and markup rules ride with the sheet. The field does not retype them.

The client sees what they signed

Line items match the agreed rates. Fewer disputes, faster approvals.
